If you could travel anywhere in time, future or past, where would it be? What would you like to see, who would you like to meet?
I'd like to know why the great pyramids of Giza were built, see how they were built, and used (I don't buy that they were used as tombs).
To see the hanging gardens of Babylon (that were possibly located in Nineveh).
To see 'Priam's Treasure' excavated at Mycenae by Heinrich Schliemann, that disappeared during WWII.
To walk through a palace of an Egyptian Pharaoh.
I'd also like to meet Albert Einstein, and understand his math!
I would travel back to my high school years for sure. Just to see what it would be like now knowing what I know now.
Alexa and I went to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman (so much better than I expected) and it was fun to see the places they travelled. It sparked a lot of questions from Alexa.
A good movie about time travel I just watched was “About time” I took away some good life lessons myself!
I wish I could go back to the time before I was born. I've always feel that I've been forced to live this life against my will and whatever was my existence before my birth was a very pleasant one.
I understand, Lourdes, I feel like I was born several thousand years too late!
this is tough because there are so many id love to meet and places to see. i think, tho vincent van gogh, and claude monet. seeing the mona lisa was such an emotional exprience for me, i'd love to know is she is a lady or a man? and calude monet, well all of his painting including the ones at the paris museum take my breath away. i know these men were tormented individuals, but the creativity they had, is mind blowing to me. i would love to be able to tell both how famous they became and how their artwork changed lives. one other abrham lincoln, he was by far a man who lived way before his time, but what he was able to do in the short time in office was mind blowing
I would take that trip with you Wendy! I love art. I just assumed Mona Lisa was a woman, interesting point…my husband and I just went to see Monuments Men. I didn’t realize Hitler had threatened the history of art like that! I realize it was a movie but it was based on real life events.

hey nicole
the artist back then werent able to typically use women as models. they would use men and dress them as women. interesting tidbit... was monument men good? i really want to see it
That is interesting! I could see her being either one…
I really enjoyed Monuments Men. It was one of those that came out of the blue for me. I hadn’t even heard of it but I liked the actors in it so I gave it a shot. Glad I did. If you watch it let me know what you think!

Yes, I want to see that too! They had Bill Murray, Matt Damon and Hugh Bonneville on the Graham Norton show on the BBC, and they were just smashing! My mother and I laughed at them until we were in tears! Will see if that is on demand yet! That is definitely a must see movie!
Oh yes, I agree the master painters! Imagine seeing them at work and talking to them! Victoria magazine has done yet another Giverny layout! Monet planted those fabulous gardens JUST so he could paint them, including his collection of water lily paintings! I have a book of his paintings and my little 4 year old grandson loves to look through them!
