I guess if you are in need of extra space and/or have a very obsessive compulsive personality this may suit you. Or if you just like modern design to the extreme? I don't know. Just not digging it!!
I am sure that these will be in the luxury apartments that they have in like, Singapore!
While having everything at your fingertips is nice, I don't foresee this as being a good solution for those with DM in particular, since reach is often an issue - something that is painfully apparent to me right now, so that is the very first thing that I think of! LOL
I personally would need an entire module designated for counter space! Haaha!
